Great phone overall, no complaints for my use case. Looks and feels more premium than the Pixel 8 Pro IMO.

Pixel 9 Pro XL - Its Great but...

My daily phone has always been a Samsung phone ever since the launch of the s7 and my introduction to the Pixel series was the Pixel 6 until it made me switch back to Samsung due to its bugs and for me a barebones UI which compared to One UI, the features makes sense.

My first month of the Pixel 9 Pro XL was a mixed bag of comparison with my old phone(Samsung zFold4). For the Pros, it's a pixel phone, a better battery and a better camera is always a plus. Features like Add me, Night Mode, and Video Boost are great additions that you can never get from any other device. Pixel Studio is like Photoshop for dummies, and also, Gemini AI(If only gemini advanced/live was available in the PH).

Now for the cons, Its a Pixel phone but Samsung does it better, specially on the UI side. There are features that I miss from Samsung but most of it was UI based like a dedicated back button near your right thumb, when the FB messenger is open as a bubble you have access to all your messages instead of Google's most recent chats only, and finally it's a nitpick but whenever i swipe up to view all open apps, the close all apps are at the leftmost part while One UI has a dedicated Close button for it.

Overall, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is a great phone almost a true flagship phone and it is getting there. It is a phone for those who don't want to go mainstream like Samsung or Apple. But its really damn close to those brands.
